1 - What country are you from?
Eisen, Freiberg specifically.

2 - How would you physically describe yourself?
Short, Is that it? Shaven head, beard … Anything else? – I’m Eisen.

3 - Do you have any recurring mannerisms?
Locking people in basements. That’s not a mannerism. Well no then.

4 - What is your main motivation?
Honour, money Anything else? No

5 - What is your greatest strength, and weakness?
Honour Is that a strength or a weakness? Both. A sense of humour Is that a strength or weakness? Both Anything else? Friends Are they a strength or a weakness? Again, I’m not sure

6 - What are your most and least favourite things?
Montaigne – Is that most or least favourite thing – Least

What’s your most favourite thing – My Dracheneisen. Don’t you like beer? There is beer of course - what’s not to like. Anything else you dislike – no I generally like everything…did I say Montaigne.

7 - What is your psychology?
My what? What influences your behaviour? Beer, Montaigne, the Father. Is the father influential in a good or bad way? Not sure. What makes you happy, sad or angry? I don’t know these are difficult questions. Are you sure you wouldn’t rather ask Francine this. Do you find easy to control your emotions? Yes, why wouldn’t it be? Do some things make you particularly happy, sad or angry? Yes, next question. What things? Well, Well what? Money, erm, injustice I’m assuming money makes you happy and injustice makes you sad – well of course how else would it be?

8 - What is your single greatest fear?
Becoming my father. How so? He is stuck in family and the old ways. He doesn’t understand the new Eisen. What old ways? – old Eisen ways But he’s not Eisen – yes, he is! No, my father not the father. Why would I fear being like the father? He’s impulsive – but he’s something to be feared. I wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of him. Sorry, I assume by new Eisen you mean Freiberg? Ah, Freiberg! Is that all you going to say about that? Freiberg is the new Eisen as is Nicholas Trague. What do you like about the new Eisen? – It will give us a chance to regain our heritage take back our natural place in the world. But isn’t Freiberg completely lawless? That does make it a bad place - it has its own laws as long as you know how to abide by them.

9 - What are your highest ambitions, and greatest love?
Eisen, sorry Eponine. Highest ambition? Or greatest love? Highest ambition? Yes Make my father proud of me. What’s your greatest love? Eponine obviously. What would you spend your time doing given the choice? Eponine Anything else? Fighting? Fighting is good and beer.

10 - What is your opinion of your country?
It is a wonderful land that needs to modernise. It should give us its old superstitious ways and retake its rightful place in the world. What superstitions? I don’t want to talk about that.

11 - Do you have any prejudices?
No, course not. But you don’t like the Montaigne? No, of course not - it’s not a prejudice if it’s right. But your girlfriend is Montaigne? Yes, she is. And that’s fiancée if you would. So you are marrying someone from a nation you hate? Yes and your question is? Why do you hate them and why are you marrying her? If you knew our history you would know what the Montaigne have done to my country. Unfortunately you must realise love knows no boundaries. So you don’t hate all Montaigne? Have you met Francine?

12 - Where do your loyalties lie?
(long silence) my friends Anyone or anything else? My friends, my colleagues, my country. Your fiancée? – don’t be stupid. Is that a yes – (long stare)

13 - Are you in love, betrothed or even married?
Yes, yes, no. But don’t tell my father.

14- What is your family like?
(long silence) My youngest sister is a wonderful girl. My elder sister is a very capable young lady. My brother is long dead. What about your mother? She is very understanding and nice(?). Dare, I ask about dad? He is a very strong minded patriarch. He knows what our family is and where it should be. Unfortunately his idea of what being Eisen should be and mine has diverged. I know given his choice I would not be the surviving son.

15 - How would your parents describe you?
Ask them yourself.

16 - Are you a gentleman/woman?
Yes, of course. You believe in chivalry then? I believe in the nobility of the human spirit. Yet you lock people in basements? Some people are nobler than others and of course desperate times calls for desperate measures.

17 - How religious are you, and which church sect do you follow?
Next question. So you are not religious? I didn’t say that. What is your stance then? Are you not listening to me? Next question.

18 - Are you a member of a guild, gentleman’s club or secret society?
Yes. May I ask for details? I was a member of the Knight of the Rose and Cross but we parted on bad terms.

19 - What do you think of sorcery?
It is a boon to mankind. I’m very interested. I’ve seen much Porté. In fact my fiancée is a Porté sorceress - it’s very handy for long distance relationships.

20 - What advice do you need to hear?
I think my family would say I need to be told to find some direction.
